Wu Tang Clan Nails

Hey guys!
Today I have a Wu Tang inspired manicure to show you. I drew a dollar sign on my indesx finger, the Wutang "w" logo on my middle finger and wrote CREAM on my ring finger. You can see the detail better on the second picture. Sorry about the skin on my thumb but somehow my thumbs suffer the most in winter.

Black & White Chanel Nails

Hello readers!
I hope you aren't freaking out about "doomsday", I'm not sure what to think about the fuss. Never the less, I have a new manicure to show you. Some time ago I found this picture on Tumblr and decided to try and recreate it. I'm not really a Chanel fan but these Chanel nails look awesome! I hope you like my version.

Monochrome and Neon

Hello!
First of all sorry for the bad lighting in the photos, I need to find a solution soon. Here I have a black and white mani with a neon accent nail to show you. I looked for geometric patterns on the internet and painted them on my nails with a tiny brush. It took me about an hour to paint one hand!

Red, Glitter and Houndstooth

Hello!
Red, black, white and glitter is the way to go today! I painted all my nails red except for my middle and ringfinger. I attempted to do a houndstooth pattern on my middle finger but I think I got it wrong somehow. My ringfinger is "I'm not Lion" by China Glaze, a really beautiful champagne glitter with holo glitter which you can't really see on the pictures. I am in love with this polish! But sadly it eats topcoat like a maniac.

Glittery Mint Magic

Hello my new readers :)!
Today I have a very simple mani to show you with a glitter gradient on my ring finger and thumb.
The colours remind me of "Tiffany's" somehow, eventhough in real life the Turquoise is a lot more minty.
Sorry about the dry skin on my thumb but with winter really hitting in my cuticles tend to get really sore and dry.

2. Advent

Hello!
Today is the second advent and two candles are burning on the advent wreath. So for today I did a candle manicure with only two of them burning. I used about 10 different polishes and I don't remember which ones, sorry! Anyway, I hope you like it.

Candycane Stripes

Hey!
To get with the Christmas-y feel, I did a candycane mani. The lines are a little wonky but I freehanded them and regular candy canes aren't perfect either. The red is "Thanks so Muchness" from the age old Alice in Wonderland collection by OPI. It is my go-to Christmas red.
My nails are still short but at least I managed to get them into shape again. If anybody has some tips for serums or creams that actually work for growing your nails longer, please tell me!

Nikolaus Gifts

Hello!
I'm back (sort of). I have been really busy and on top of that caught the flu which prevented me from posting anything on here. But as it is now getting closer to christmas, I will not be lacking nail art ideas for the next few weeks :)
I wanted to show you what my lovely boyfriend gave me for "Nikolaus" on the 6th of December. These two delicious chocolate bars and 4 (!) nailpolishes. Not the colours I would usually go for but that makes it all the better.

The colours are Astor Fashion Studio "Acid Drop", "Cotton Candy", "Mint Candy" and a coral which doesn't have a name.

Stripes and Drips

First of all I want to say sorry for not posting for such a long time. School had me working from morning to evening and on top of that a few of my nails tore and I had to file them all down :( Now they look ugly and stubby and I wasn't really motivated to do anything with them.
Here I have the last nail art with "long" nails; Stripes with red drips.

DSC_0546

DSC_0573

I drew the drips and stripes on with a tiny brush and then put a few highlights onto the drips to make them look more plastic. Sorry for the bad lighting but it's getting dark so early here it's almost impossible to get a decent photo.

Betsey Johnson -esque Polkadots and Roses

Hello!
Today I have a Betsey Johnson inspired polkadot and rose mani to show you. I used a dotting tool and a small pin to create the roses and the base colour is the same as in the teal and gold post. I think it looks really cute but my topcoat sadly smeared the design a little.

Essence Twilight LE - Jacob's Protection

Hello! Today I have a swatch of one of Essence's Twilight limited edition polishes; Jacob's Protection. Whereas I am no where near a Twilight fan, this nail polish really appealed to me in the bottle. The application was easy with a smooth formula and I was not at all disappointed by the finish. The little blue flakies in the black base look really nice in direct light. The other polishes did not appeal to me but this one is great! You should definitely take a look at it.

Barry M Jewel Britannia mattified

Hello!
This time I have Barry M's Jewel Britannia over OPI's My Boyfriend Scales Walls with a matte topcoat to show you. Jewel Britannia has red, blue and silver glitter with holo particles in it. Despite it being a polish released for the Queen's jubilee, the colours also go well with the American presidential election.

I have to admit, I'm a little obsessed with mattified glitter at the moment :)

Teal and gold glitter

Hello!
This is a manicure I did a while ago with the glitter polish from Essence's Snow White limited edition. It's called "The Huntsman" and has lots of different sized gold glitter and a few flakies in it. Many people seem to have disliked the flakies in it but I actually quite like them!

DSC_0066

Sadly the glitter topcoat changed the colour underneath into a more greenish tone but it reminds me of the sea somehow. On the second picture you can see the flakies very nicely.

Polkadot Halfmoons

Hello my 2 readers! I'm so happy that I'm not only talking to a vacuum anymore :)
Here I did a black and white polkadot halfmoon mani with pink lining and a pink bow. I stamped the bow but because the colour was far too faint I had to paint over it which led to this messy result. Despite the faults I still liked this mani a lot! On top I added a mini rhinestone.

OPI James Bond Living Daylights gradient

Hello!
Today I have one of OPI's Skyfall polishes to show you. It's "Living Daylights" which is a very unique glitter polish in my opinion. It has lots of even sized glitter hexograms in teal, salmon, silver and gold. I think it looks best with muted colours ans especially with a matte topcoat. I mattified this manicure after a few hours but forgot to take pictures.

Hearts, Drips and Crosses

Hello!
I dedicided I might as well post another picture from a few days ago since my folder of nail pictures has already got quite a lot in it. Here I tried to do some skittle nails with different patterns on every nail including a little black heartshaped rhinestone on my pinky.
I dabbed different colours onto my middle and pointer finger and coated them with China Glaze's Make a Spectacle. I absolutely love the effect it gives! It was the only polish from their halloween collection that caught my eye and it was definitely worth buying. On my thumb (which you can't properly see) I used my new W7 Salt&Pepper polish.

Hello

Even though I'm practically talking to myself right now I'm going to write a little something about myself.

I'm a 19 year old girl from the north of Germany who's favourite past-time is everything nail polish related! At a very young age I started being interrested in nail polish; I had everything from glitter to scented polishes but had yet to discover the joys of nail art. Nowadays I've learnt a lot about the possibilities of nail design and love painting mine or friend's nails.

Despite there being more important and (for some) more interresting topics to start a blog about, I decided I might aswell create a space to share my designs and get to know other polish "junkies" out there ;) I'm excited to see how this project turns out and if I find anybody willing to read me as I am far from perfect but who knows what will come!
